Another:

The title & origin of this work was not known when I first was made aware of it. The current owner also possesses a print of St. Andrews Caddy and it is thought the two works are closely related. If you also compare the Man with Pipe I believe you'll recognize this may be the same subject.

He wrote:

"I have a print I think may be of L.C. Earle work. Could you please help identify this work of Art? It is mounted and is approx 22" x 16" viewed area. Another print I have is of St. Andrews Caddy.

The picture is mounted exactly like the St. Andrews Caddie. Similar frame the back paper is gone the cardboard is visible. I took the cardboard and removed it to look for information signature or any identification. I was unable to find anything. The style is almost exact, look at the golf hat. It resembles the other print. Any idea how I can find out more about this?

Sincerely, Ed in Windsor Locks, CT"

Well Ed, we have made an identification. The title is "Bogey Man."

The image below appears on promotional playing cards produced by the Stetson Show Company and dated 1905.
